The Controlled Environment That Helps Bands Grow
It All Depends On You
The controlled environment of the incubator is famous for helping things grow, so what happens if bands get incubated?
In 2023 "Sons On Fire" drummer, Bill Nychay, gave us the idea of incubating bands. An incubation category was created at both, WPNT-DB and KSHP-DB, and filled with bands that were yet to be signed, as well as micro and independent label artists.
After a very positive social networking response, it was decided that the "Incubator" would become a staple of the KSHP-DB programming, and was implemented within the regular rotation, along with two six hour blocks on Friday and Saturdays where open real time voting by millions can help the bands rise up the rotation, and in turn, get those artists on the radar, and closer to the charts.
This is where 'Real Rock Nights' comes in. With the wide catalog of new releases and independent artists, 'Real Rock Nights' continually feeds our "Incubator" with the freshest rock every week, and allows you to help the bands and artists thrive.
